What Is a Practical Completion Inspection?
A Practical Completion Inspection (PCI) is an independent assessment of a newly built property before you accept handover from your builder. We identify defects, unfinished work, and items that don't meet the agreed specifications - while your builder is still contractually liable to fix them.
Once you accept the property, getting defects fixed becomes significantly harder and more expensive. A PCI protects you at the critical handover stage.

PCI Tiers
Practical Completion Inspections are available in two tiers:
- Structural Plus - Our detailed mid-tier inspection. 14+ page report covering structural elements, internal and external walls, insulation, doors and windows, drainage, eaves, cladding, patios, and more. From $465 (apartments) / $499 (houses).
- Structural Premium - Includes safety and good working order checks. 25+ page report. Adds floors, cabinets, appliances, power points, lights, switches, plumbing fixtures, and more. From $555 (apartments) / $644 (houses).
PCI is for new builds only. There is no entry-level (Structural) tier for PCI inspections. “Pre-Purchase” does not apply to PCI.
